How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home

Option 1: Measure an Existing Ring

  1. Choose a ring that fits the intended finger perfectly.

  2. Measure the inside diameter with a ruler (in millimeters).

  3. Use the chart above to match it to your US ring size.

Option 2: String or Paper Method

  1. Cut a thin strip of paper or string.

  2. Wrap it around the base of your finger where the ring will sit.

  3. Mark the point where the ends meet.

  4. Measure the strip with a ruler (in millimeters).

  5. Compare the measurement with the inside circumference column in the chart.

Option 3: Printable Ring Chart (Optional)
You can also use a printable chart to place an existing ring on top of circles until you find the matching size. (Make sure your printer is set to 100% scale).

Tips for Best Accuracy

  • Measure at the end of the day when your fingers are at their largest.

  • Avoid measuring when your hands are cold, as fingers shrink slightly.

  • If you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger one for comfort.

  • Keep in mind that wider rings may feel tighter — consider sizing up by half a size.
